The successful Systems Engineer, Level III will be performing system engineering as part of team that is responsible for overall Enterprise Security Management and architecture experience defined as those systems, processes, and personnel required to order, create, disseminate, modify, suspend and terminate management controls to provision and operate IA services, processes, and devices across an enterprise. In addition, the Engineer will be performing Global Information Grid (GIG) Information Assurance, strategic planning, vulnerabilities and architecture. | | Qualifications: | The successful Systems Engineer, Level III must have a Bachelors’ or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline with at least 12 years of Engineering experience in technical program management and/or as a system development team lead or at least 16 years of training and experience can be in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree (at least 50% of this experience shall be in programs with relevance to SIGINT, Communications Systems, and IT). The selected Engineer must have the following experience:
• Ten (10) years experience as a Systems Engineer (Information Assurance) in programs encompassing systems architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test and transition into operations
• Five (5) years systems engineering (Information Assurance) experience obtained in an Intelligence Community environment
• Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Experience showing ability to work both independently and as an effective team member
• Experience showing flexibility to cope with a changing environment and short deadlines
• Experience in planning and organizing
• Excellent communication and customer skills (both verbal and written)
• Experience with software application, programming languages, hardware, processes or as a manager is required
• Experience in Global Information Grid (GIG) Information Assurance
• Solid background in the major IA security service disciplines
• Must have overall Enterprise Security Management and architecture experience defined as those systems, processes, and personnel required to order, create, disseminate, modify, suspend, and terminate management controls to provision and operate IA services, processes, and devices across an enterprise
• Must be familiar with defense in depth concepts as well as IA strategic planning
• Must have strong mentoring skills as well as the ability to write detailed configuration management documents such as technical strategies and concepts of operation, and have the ability to lead broad IA community in a single technical direction
• Must have experience in the following: as related to Configuration Management; Configuration Management best practices (Device, Network, Service, Architectures), Computer Network Defense, DoD software patch and vulnerability management, and other security and network configuration management concepts, including but not limited to Host Base Security System (HBSS), Secure Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC), DoD Vulnerability Management System (VMS), National Vulnerability Database (NVD), Passive and Active network scanners, and GIG IA architecture
Security Clearance Requirements: US Citizen; ACTIVE TS SCI w/Lifestyle Polygraph (or within the last 24 months)
