System Engineer

This position is for a system engineers to provide Front Line Engineering/Tier 2 support for Data flow.

Operational System Support- Provide dataflow support systems. This includes monitoring and improving monitoring of the systems data flows; providing defined daily/weekly/monthly metrics on data flows and responding to requests for gathering new metrics; responding to and ensuring resolution of operational data flow issues reported by site personnel, 24X7 Monitoring centers, Tier 1 support, other dataflow groups, and end users; and providing feedback to development engineers on how to improve stability and supportability. May also assist with installations, upgrades, and patches and ensure system is operating as expected after these actions.

Required Skills & Experience:
• SIGINT community knowledge
• Working knowledge of Linux (evidenced in work-history)
• Strong communications skills
• Experience supporting complex operational software systems including trouble shooting and problem solving
• Willing to be part of a team that provides after hours call-in support on a rotating basis and respond in a timely manner
• Willing to occasionally work non-standard hours
• Ability to work in high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short and long term requirements.

Other Desired Skills & Experience:
• Experience with Remedy
• Linux System Administration knowledge
• Knowledge of collection systems
• SIGINT data types knowledge
• Experience with script writing






Qualifications:Security Clearance Requirements: US Citizen; ACTIVE TS SCI w/Lifestyle Polygraph (or within the last 24 months)
