The System Administrator maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Coordinates installation and verification of installation. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.


Proficiency in Linux and shell scripting is a MUST. Red Hat certifications are preferred.
Needs to have experience with Dell/HP hardware and OpenLDAP. Skills that are strongly desired are Puppet, Subversion, Hadoop, and Hobbit. Experience with databases a plus.
Qualifications:Security Clearance Requirements: US Citizen; ACTIVE TS SCI w/Lifestyle Polygraph (or within the last 24 months)
