Requirements and Interface Engineer/Systems Engineer III



Responsibility of the position:
• Provides overall systems engineering support to the Thread SE Lead, to include:
• The management of the Thread requirements using the RequisitePro repository (compiling, coordinating, tracking through completion all of the thread requirements for the Thread.)
• Works with Lead SE to take customer needs and translate them into system requirements.
• Works with the team to finalize the Thread RVTM for each Spin.
• Proposes to the Lead SE what requirements should be levied on potential stakeholders.
• Ensures all Gate-related artifacts are generated and formatted correctly.
• Responsible for ensuring the integrity of all Thread-related interfaces, to include understanding existing system interfaces.
• Assesses the risk of proposed interface changes and making a recommendation to the Thread Lead.
• Upon approval by Thread lead, coordinates all proposed changes with the stakeholders for approval/acceptance.
• Writes and coordinates new requirements based on agreed upon interface changes and ensuring all relevant interface requirements are in RequisitePro.
• Assists with current and proposed system diagrams and designs based on the Thread requirements set.
• Identifies and shares any critical interface changes with Architecture team
• Documents Thread sequence, data flow and block diagrams

Minimum Requirements
• Minimum of five years direct experience with an intelligence community or signals intelligence capability with an emphasis on collection, processing, and exploitation.
• Meets labor category required years experience as a Systems Engineer supporting programs to develop and field large¬scale systems to include experience in system architecture, requirements analysis, system documentation, system evaluation, and process execution and evaluation.
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or other technical discipline.
• An understanding of contemporary requirement elicitation, analysis, specification, verification and management practices and the ability to apply them in practice.
• An understanding of how to practice requirement engineering according to several software development life cycles strategies in a team environment.
• The candidate must be results-oriented, self-motivated and an effective communicator.
• The candidate must have working experience using a requirements management tool.
• The candidate must have working experience with MS Office products including MS Project.





Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or similar degree and meets the experience requirement OR equivalent documented combination of training and experience.


Security Clearance Requirements: US Citizen; ACTIVE TS SCI w/Lifestyle Polygraph (or within the last 24 months)
