Network Engineer

Description of Position:
Candidate will work as a member of the Common Mission Platform (CMP) team, architecting the network solution for the next-generation hosting platform. The candidate will work with a combination of open-source, commercial, and custom-developed hardware and software applications and a variety of scripting languages.

Required Experience:
Practical experience evidenced in the following:
• Must have experience with Cisco hardware and software products
• Strong routing and switching skills
• Strong knowledge of VMWare and ESX server
• Experience with firewalls and VPNs is key
• System architecture and design experience
• Perl, Shell scripting (candidate will be writing code), Python and/or Ruby (Ruby is acceptable, but would prefer a python programmer)
• RPM creation experience and Kickstart experience
• Integrating systems using Linux operation system
• Experience running network performance test and establishing performance metrics
• Candidate will assist in architecting the network solution for the next-generation hosting platform. Candidate will work with and modify a combination of commercial and open-source products, will evaluate these products, and will develop custom solutions as necessary.
• Candidates need to be proactive, able to converse and coordinate with various project developers and work with developers to understand their applications and scenarios.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills,
Desired Skills:
• Prior experience in system design and architecture
• Strong knowledge of common hardware and network platforms.
• SIGINT mission systems knowledge

Qualifications:
Security Clearance Requirements: US Citizen; ACTIVE TS SCI w/Lifestyle Polygraph (or within the last 24 months)
