Linux Systems Administrator III
Provide expertise to set up, configure, load software, and provide administration of computers, configure and manage WANs and LANs, and other support to the program. Can also provide support for testing, system integration, installation scripts and other duties to support LAN and WAN networks. Responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining and improving. The individual must be able to do the following:
RedHat Linux, or advanced general Linux knowledge.
Demonstrate an expert understanding of UNIX conventions and usage.
Understanding of RPM package format and APT-RPM distribution method.
Understanding of troubleshoot network problems and Cisco routers.
Troubleshooting of standard daemons and tools (SSH, NFS, NTP, BIND, APACHE, PKI, SUDO, SYSLOG, logrotate, chkconfig, init scripts, curl, general networking, etc.)
Gain a general understanding of the system being developed as it relates to supporting system administration and development team members.
Perform or participate in technical evaluations of COTS/GOTS hardware and/or software and make recommendations.
Ability to understand complex systems with many components.
Willing to be available early mornings and late evenings on occasion to meet time sensitive efforts.
Minimum ten years experience with installation, maintenance, and trouble shooting of LAN, WAN, computer hardware and software the majority of which should be in a Linux environment. Experience performing and assisting with equipment specification, setup, problem resolution, network support, etc., related to computer hardware and software; and providing assistance to users. Experience optimizing system operations. Experience ensuring licensing agreements and system currency.
Experience with two or more commercial software products (e.g. Subversion, Track-It, Razor, TeamWare) used for configuration management.
Experience in Agile methods is desired.

Bachelors Degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or similar degree and meet the experience requirement or equivalent documented combination of training and experience.
Security Clearance Requirements: US Citizen; ACTIVE TS SCI w/Lifestyle Polygraph (or within the last 24 months)
