Instructional Designer/Trainer III



Job Description:
Analyze and research a client’s learning situation, expectations, resources, learning needs, learning gaps, and tasks as well as the available software, technology, and infrastructure available to meet client needs. Design curricula according to instructional principles, client-objectives, and problem objectives. Develop practices that are structured, streamlined, and well-communicated to the team according to best practices for instructor-led training, Web-based training, virtual classroom, job aids, quick reference materials, and exercises. Implement practices surrounding the production of educational materials, the structuring of content rollout to facilitators and students, and general project management criteria associated with a training program. Evaluate techniques applicable to the client requirements.

Required Skills / Education:
• 7+ years experience as an instructional designer, educator, or consultant in a professional work environment
• Experience with developing, implementing, or training on diversity
• Experience working with Windows and Unix environments

Desired Skills:
• MA or MS degree in Education or Instructional Technology preferred
• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and image manipulation software a plus


Qualifications:Education:
Candidate must meet the education requirements in the labor category. Six years over the required years experience substitute for the BS requirement. Certifications and AA degrees count as 1 year experience each.

Equivalency Standards: Equivalent experience examples include: Associate’s Degree plus military training; NCS classes; commercially provided training; or other demonstrable related experience; AND an additional two years experience in a similar labor category.

Security Clearance Requirements: US Citizen; ACTIVE TS SCI w/Lifestyle Polygraph (or within the last 24 months)
